I want your opinions on who makes the best riding coils springs for my 06 LJ 3.5 or 4 inch I have Rough country on it now and they are really stiff.

Yeah....RE springs are well known to be short, stiff, with a ride height taller than advertised. Combined with Procomp shocks on insane control arm angles, that combo doesn't come close to hitting the list. From experience, you may think something handles nice until you try something else. I've experienced a crapload of different combinations.

I have RE 4.5 springs on a RE superflex kit and purchased a new set of curries hoping to lower my stance but when I removed the rear the currie was about an inch taller. Would this create an inch taller installed or would they settle lower. Just hoping you may have some knowledge. Want to lower my suspension and was hoping that this was the solution. Thanks for any input.

I have Fab Tech 3'' springs. Absolutely horrible they sag so much in the front.
Personaly I would like OME's or some RC's. -Maybe Currie since everyone is talking them up and they look like a solid company.

I ran RC's before and they were alright.

Had RE 4.5 coils w/RE mono tubes = a stiff ride. Swapped them out for Currie 4" coils w/OME nitrocharger sports = softer but still firm ride. Dropped it about 1/2" in height too. So far I'm happy with that combo (Thanks Gerald for the great price!)

I don't know about all of you, but I can't stand a mushy, overly soft ride. I prefer a tight yet highly-dampened ride. For example, if I hit a big pot hole, there is no clunk, rattle, or wobble. Just a thump and instant rebound. Combine a fairly low ride height, progressive coils, good gas charged shocks, and a tight suspension with joints at all ends and that's what you'll get.

This is what my goal is right now. I am outboarding the rear and lengthening my fronts to get more travel. I am looking at running Bilstein shocks or even going to a valved FOA shock. I think i need to change out my 4" tera coils but not sure i will have enough clearance on 35's with a BDS or AEV 3" spring and no bodylift with tube fenders.

I'm interested in this thread as i'm in need of changing out the stuff that the previous owner had. I have 4" skyjacker coils and skyjacker hydro's front and rancho R5000's rear. going with the currie control arms but trying to decide the shocks to pair with them. Looking at the Bilstein 5100's so far. Trying to match the coil rates and the spring rate some, and see if it works to control the ride better. Not sure if i will change the springs just yet and see what works well.
