Yep, whenever Rough Country is mentioned the Jeep snobs show up to turn up their noses at your choice. The same thing goes on at AR15.com, where if you mention buying a Rock River Arms or Olympic, all the gear *****s come out of the woodwork and heap scorn on you for not shelling out 2x as much or more for a Colt, LMT, or Larue that won't blow up on you the first time you pull the trigger.
I have an RC 4" lift and it works well for everything I do with the Jeep - which is everything but rock crawling. Trail riding, mud bogging, 60-65mph on the interstate with no track bars or swaybar, it does everything I want and need it to do. I can grab the roll bar and rock the Jeep 4-5" up & down. I can drive a tire up onto a rock and stuff that 33x10.5x15 KM2 right up to the front fender, with the opposite rear touching the wheel arch opening, and the other 2 tires solidly on the ground. I still want to loosen up my shackle & hanger bolts a bit, leaving just enough torque so I can't pull a piece of paper from between the flat washer & shackle. Before too long I'll install greasable shackles and poly bushings for even smoother articulation.
So I say go ahead and enjoy your RC-equipped Jeep, learn through others' experience and your own, and decide for yourself if your lift does what you want it to do. Oh yeah - check the torque of your U-bolts and ensure that the bump stop extensions are pointed a little "hangerward" of center, because as the springs compress the axle and extensions will move toward the shackles. If the extensions are centered they could conceivably hit the shackle side of the bump stops and cause the axle to shift farther toward the shackles. If your rear tires are scrubbing your wheel openings, check your bump stop extensions.
