Hello I have a noise coming from the front of my transmission that sounds like nails in a can. I believe it to be my flexplate. I have the 5.2L laredo and anyways my question is im going to order a new flexplate but all the pictures dont show it with the gear ring? I thought the gear ring was welded to the flex plate?

Ope nevermind im dumb and found that the gear ring is on the torque converter

Welcome to the forum.
Mine had that sound and it turned out to be the recently installed and properly tightened flex plate to crankshaft bolts also required thread locking compound, not specified in the factory service manual, as shown in this topic.
