Alright. You guys won. The visor is history. Don't know who put it on and when, but it wasn't that bad underneath, except now I have little capped bolts on top of my Jeep. The boards stay for the time being. For sale: One Lund visor for ZJ.

. Just kiddin. The running boards say ford exploder to me but to each is own. I just ditched the nerfs on my zj a few weeks back.

To each his own. It's a street Jeep. It's not my cup of tea either, but he likes it, IMO, that's all that matters.

I know he asked for opinions, but using a little tact wouldn't have been too rough, would it?

It's like when someone's girlfriend asks, "do these jeans make my butt look big?" (and you know they do), are you going to say, "those jeans make your a** look like to pigs fightin' in a sack?" Or are you going to say, "they're not bad"?

Thanks Skydude. The Lund stuff was on the Jeep when I got last winter and I just wanted some opinions as I have been on the fence about the stuff. But yeah, a few guys were pretty brutal...no biggie, I'm not sensitive about car criticism, christ I drove a old minivan for 3 years. The ZJ has been a great project though and I'm having a lot of fun with my tweaks and new audio. I think I'm going to do a 2" BB and then the running boards may have to go.

This is a recent trek before first snow.

In the last picture you can see the rock that is coming out of the hill side, it had been raining for about 40 minutes at this point and this was the only exit for the trail as a park ranger was watching us. Because of the angle our vechiles were sliding down toward the rock coming out, this made for an interesting time.

Mounting the foglights.... i found a light that was really skinny these only go back maybe an inch or 1 1/2. I took off the front bumper and took out the 5mph foam insert. i then took the center of the bumper and measured out x on each side to find the center for my hole. drilled a hole and mounted the light, marked on the foam bumper where the nut and bolt came down into it and cut a U so it could slide back in.

The first two pics are of my 2000 WJ. I hit a tree while off-roading in NH. This was before I even made the first payment...

The next two are from a camping trip in PA with some guys from work.
It doesn't look too dirty, but that's because I had just washed it by driving through a "puddle" that ended up being about 3-4' deep! The Jeep made it through without hydro-locking the engine, but the alternator and fan motor quit on us when I was driving down the highway trying to get home the next day. It seems that mud may impede the performance of an electric motor... With all the roadside repairs, it took us about 15 hours to drive the 400 miles home.

So now my wife (as understanding as she is) has prohibited me from off-roading my daily driver. So I picked up a '94 ZJ Limited with a 5.2. For $100! She has 220K on the clock, but she still runs strong. I can't wait to take her out and see what she'll do.
