Very very nice... Can't wait to do this mod someday! Looks really good brother.

That snorkel really looks great! Gonna have to add that to the wish list. Your description of most of the other snorkels I've seen was spot on, putting the ugh in ugly (just my 2 cents worth)... heheheheheh

Pulled the trigger on the AEV/ SL lift w/ 6" JBA springs and am wondering if I could PM you for some details.

Sure thing bud, hit me up with whatever questions you have. I mean everyone else already does :D

Very nice job....
Thankd a lot bud!

It's very impressive. I am curious if there are any performance gains to be had... Maybe it will improve low end throttle response?

Omelet, you had me scared to death when I saw the picture of that giant hole saw, and your bright and shiny Jeep! Glad it turned out good man - I don't have the balls! :D

It looks very good, I'm waiting to see how you route the tube in the fender.

Still waiting...

Waiting...

Well???

I don't see it flowing any better than my Volant, or any cooler. But you never know!

Me too! It took me a while to actually do it :D But I love the outcome!

Sorry bud I have been a busy man! There is still so much I need to get done before I deploy and the Jeep unfortunately doesn't take priority :(

What about the antenna?
I will move it forward a few inches

This was a discussion I had with a member on TUJ and his snorkel compared to my HAI, otherwise known as CAI.. I call it a hot air intake cause its drawing air from under the hood not outside where a snorkel is drawing true colder air from outside. There is a different in intake temp, his was 61 and mine were closer to 70, may not be much but could yield some improvement in mpg or performance.. Would be curious to see what your intake temps are..

There is some truth to this.

You also have to consider this;

Yes it is true cold air, its great for the engine, yadadada...

I don't think you'll see a significant (if any) performance increase to HP or Torque from the OEM intake system, due to all the bends and length of the system. The vehicle has to work to suck this air in, the harder you make it work, the less performance gain you get, essentially choking it.

But.. It's a JEEP, not a race car, the MOD is done so he can go 4x4ing through a lake or similar! :2thumbsup:

Took 2 days to read this and I am just extremely impressed. Omelet, your attention to detail is second to none...this is just a great looking WK! I'm looking at getting a Hemi WK when I get my first job out of school and this just makes me more excited for when that happens! Great build man

Ok, I guess I can wait :(
Good luck on your deployment.

I spoke to a rep from airflow about their snorkel for the 2010 WK, I noticed that their kit doesn't suit the 2010 WK . He has asked me to send him some pics of the air iintake on the stock filter box, so he can see for himself whats involved in closing it off for a snorkel install.
Nathan , your work on the "Bison" is nothing short of inspirational for me. I am going to begin work on mine imediately. I will also go with the Holden Colorado snorkel as it is by far the better option.
Thank you for sharing.

Thanks bro! I can't wait until we get back and can tinker together :highfive:
Ditto! :)

Only took me a week, but I finally finished reading this novel! Quite awesome work you have done to this Jeep :D

So this past Sat I was planning a big shooting/wheeling day with anyone in the area that wanted to come. Well long story short the group dropped from the hopeful 7 Jeeps down to just 2. So it was myself and John (Jhigz) having all the fun again :D The plan was to first head out to my favorite shooting spot taking the scenic route and then make our way to Pancake Rock for a little wheeling. Once loaded up we were on our way...
Dude, I am down for any and every shooting trip. Now that you have my number, let me know!

I just finished reading all 120 Pages and you have built an amazing jeep with a great attention to detail! You blow my old jeep right out of the water and make my truck look ordinary! :D

Well with how insulated my intake is right now, I don't think I will see a huge (if any) difference in intake temps once I finish the snorkel plumbing. But we will see...

Thanks a lot bud! You will love the Hemi WK when the time comes to get your own. Thanks for stopping by

Cool, good luck with your instal! Be sure to post up some pics when you get it finished. This snorkel will definitely be more work, be will be well worth the effort!
