" worthless post # ? by you greengc? "

try amsoil true synthetics , the wix filters are great but the amsoil ea filters are even better. i've got 1,500 hard miles on my last change with amsoil and ams ea filter and have noticed no degradation in performance or milage. that's about 1,300 of those miles with the pedal to the floor honestly

I've used Castrol GTX and the Morpar filter you can pick up at the local store. I've used Fram before and the only thing I noticed was the pressure was a bit low. It really all depends on how long you want to go with the oil. If you plan on doing changes every 3k than a synthetic oil is really not cost affective unless you do some drag racing or something. If you plan on doing 10k or something without and oil change then by all means go with some Amsoil.

In my opinion its a matter of personal choice then anything else. My dad drives an 87 BMW that has over 300k and he uses whatever oil happens to be cheaper, and it still drives great. My jeep just passed the 251k mark last weekend and it drives great.

Again your choice really. Just make sure you put enough in there and there's always enough in the engine to keep it nice and lubed.
