Heres a link to my build thread already in progress in the Jeep Registry, Im pretty sure thats where there supposed to be but no one actually looks there, therefore you get 0 input which blows. Heres some pictures of how she started. Heres the last post too just to put a little more in this thread.
Started constructing my new crossmember. The 2x2 will be welded onto the stiffeners and then the tube is welded onto a small piece of plate that bolts to the 2x2. Its tacked on now just to mock it up. Have a 4x6 piece of plate that will be welded in to bolt the tranny mount to. Eventually the hole bottom of the tube will be plated. Have to bend a piece of tube for the transfercase skid aswell. ![]() ![]() |

What's next for your jeep after the crossmember?

Save and do rear LAs and the 8.8. After I get that done regear the 8.8 and HP30 that I find to 4.56 and do front LAs, bump up to just under 6" then too. Get chromollys for the 30 and throw some 35s on there. I could go on and on haha. I basically decided to skip the waggy 44 and do 8.8/30 until I get the knowledge and ability to run full width tons, and the little factor of money.

If he can build that crossmember, he can build his own LA's.
ZJones, does Clayton pay you every time you mention his name lol

He should be paying you to use his arms.

I just got the jeep back, it feels so much better driving this then my parents cars. No major updates though but I did change out my 4" red firestik for a 3" black one. Definitely like it better, and will be alot better in the parking garage when I go to work.

I love this jeep! You have made it a clean build. How do you like those sliders? Probably going to be my next upgrade

Is your crossmember going to be removable ? You might want to think about that.

Yes it is. If you look you can see two holes that are drilled on a peice of 1/4 and that bolts onto the 2x2. |
