Hope everyone is safe and well in these strange COVID-19 times!

Is there anyway to tell from markings/model numbers on the exterior of the axle whether the axle has quadradrive internals or not?

I'm looking at buying an axle from Poland as I cannot get one here in the UK for sensible money, but I'm struggling with the language barrier. The seller has sent detailed pictures of model number stickers, and some stamped numbers too.

My car is an overland but has open diffs both front and back, whilst the spec sheet from Jeep says it should have had Quadradrive. So either on the last run out models, they got lazy or ran out of lockers, or somebody has replaced knackers axles with cheaper open ones.

My WJ has Quadradrive axles front and back. The Jeep is currently on jack stands, so I looked at the stamped aluminum tags, maybe they'll be of some help for you:

Front axle:

52104652AE HL
3.55 2001201

75W140SYN
38OZ+FM2OZ

Rear axle:

3.55 669 72

75W140SYN
72OZ+FM4OZ

^ I have the same fluid metal labels on my 04 4.7 with Vari-lok axles. I'm not sure why they say to add 2oz friction modifier to the front Dana 30 axle when it should be 2.5oz spec. 4oz FM to the rear Dana 44a is correct as are amount they hold on your tags.

While I'm not much help in identifying the Vari-lok axles by numbers you best make sure you're matching the same axle ratio. As an example Domaso above has the 3.55 axle ratio in both axles while my 04 4.7 build sheet shows I have 3.73 axle ratio as can be seen below.

DHFS Quadra-Trac II On Demand 4WD System
DJJS Dana 30/186MM Front Axle
DMEP 3.73 Rear Axle Ratio
DRKP Dana 44/226MM Rear Axle
DSBP Vari-Lok Progressive Front Axle
DSCP Vari-Lok Progressive Rear Axle

Thanks for everyone's response. Seems like HL on the tag is the key, assuming that stands for Hydro Lok or something like that?

The QD axles for the 2.7 CRD seem to be a rare as rocking horse sh*t, so I'm getting some 4.7 axles and the computer adapter to allow the different ratio to work not triggering transmission limp mode. Plus the ratio will help slightly with larger tyres.
