Does anyone know a good way to test to see if I'm loosing any boost after it is created by the turbo? I did the resonator delete and it just doesn't seem like its keeping full boost. Would I be getting a CEL if it lost boost in the inter-cooler?

Do you have a gage to read the stock MAP sensor? If so what are you seeing as you go to full throttle. Two ways, one would be to pressurize the system just after the turbo and just before the intake manifold and see if you lose pressure, not easy to do. Or you could weld in a NPT bung just after the turbo and then one just before the intake manifold to see the pressure differential. Either way is not very DIY friendly.
If you had a pressure leak you should be able to hear it at idle. I had a one in my CRD and others in fullsize trucks and you usually can hear them.
What issues are you having?
You would only get a CEL if it was a big loss. The ECM has tables to compare MAP vs VGT position so if it was way off you would get a CEL. I had a hole in my intercooler and you could hear it clear as day and never got a CEL. Ran it like that for over a month and never had any issues.

This started after you installed the turbo resonator delete? I'd bet my bottom dollar you have a bad connection before or after it. Double check them. When i hooked mine up I messed up inserting second connection on the resonator into the flex hose to the intercooler. I pulled out of the driveway, it didn't sound right. Mine did throw a CEL, but I'm not sure it definitely would or not.

Another thought, did you remove the first pipe off the turbo when you did the install? there's an O ring in that one that you might have trashed if you weren't careful.

Sorry guys for the late reply, I have been in bear lake on vacation. On a better note I pulled my 26 foot trailer up all of the mountains heading there and it ran great. Always had a good amount of power at hand. I have a bluetooth obd2 reader that I use the toque app with. I can see boost but I didn't know if that was showing boost before or after the intercooler?

With everyone saying I would hear it I'm thinking I don't have a leak then. I can't hear anything different, I just have a ton of stripped bolts (thanks previous owner) and so I didn't know if maybe one wasn't in tight enough to keep a good seal.

When I did the delete I didn't take off the top pipe and I can't hear or feel anything coming out so I'm guessing I'm good.

Now my next three issues from my trip: over heating, service 4wd system, and AC. Man these things nickel and dime you!

The boost sensor is after the intercooler, just before the intake manifold. Glad it ran pretty well. Let me know if you have any questions on the resonator delete. Sounds like its holding boost. Sucks on all the stripped bolts.
Sorry to hear about the other issues, I hate when they get all emotional and need lots of attention.
