Hey guy’s what air filters are you using on your Howell fuel injection systems? I can’t use the 10 inch they recommend because of the power brake system. Looking for some suggestions. Thanks

I have a MC2100 and power brakes on mine. The stock air filter designed for power brake CJs won't fit on a MC2100. So I had to go with a cheesy CAI to get around the size issue. I took some ribbing when I posted pics of it. Took a bit to convince them that I know I was not getting cold air and I know it is was not creating more HP. It was just a cheap and easy fix to find a air filter that would fit my setup.

I put a 9” filter on mine, it has a 5 1/8” base, same as a four barrel (holley or Q-jet). I guess a larger diameter would have worked since I have manual brakes, but it’s only a 110 HP 258 CID motor, it’s not like it moves a lot of air.

Looks identical to mine with manual brakes. Should be plenty of room with the brake booster.

I have a similar setup at Axhammer. I installed the K&N 9" air filter on my TBI, works like a charm. I'm not cool enough to have power breaks but presume this unit will leave you enough room.
Please disregard the incorrect connections of the lines to the TBI, the front PCV valve is now connected to the TBI and not the rear elbow (not sure how that happened). Also disregard the wiring, it's my first time running wiring and I obviously have no idea what I am doing and got a little Medussa-like but it runs like a scalded dog so I am happy!
