hey guys i was watching gearz on spike and they had a JK,,not the tj but he put a 3.5 inch lift and some 35's and it fit and drove fine...can i still do that with my tj?? even if i have to ad a 1 inch body lift can't i do it? ill probably get the advanced 3.5 lift from Rusty's

With the bump stops set correctly yes you can pretty easily... the body lift will help reduce the amount of bump you need to add which helps preserve up travel. Personnaly I wouldn't use anything from Rusty's but thats an entirely different conversation.

My dad has a 97 TJ with a 2" BB and 35" tires. It rubs a little when he turns sharp. He removed the front bumper ends so they wouldn't rub. He doesn't off-road his jeep, he keeps it on the road. The 35s killed his practical drivability. 5th gear is useless. It looks pretty cool, that's about it.

I have a 98 TJ on 35s
I also run a 4" coil and 1" BL
I previous ran 33s and had no issue ( when i had a rough country combo kit starter lift ) but with the bigger lift drove my boyfriend to buy me 35 km2s i mean I'm sitting pretty high and I also have smitty fenders my bf said if I hadn't I wouldn't really clear the tires. Jks you can do less work because they are pretty much built for bigger tires right off the gate with a Dana 44 in rear and my bf has a 3" coil and he runs 37s which I couldn't ever run without intense work. The TJ takes more work then the JK. Once you put 35 on without re gear and Dana 35 ( our rear) you loose all power and gas mileage i get barely 12 mpg on a good day with no wind. Also told the 35 can't hold the tires but mines fine but I'm also not wheeling it until I get the ford axle put in.

Below are some photos of how I clear them:

If anything breaks it's that smitty bumper my 33" duratrac broke the weld ..

Also to a semi stock jeep with a budget bust I believe. I'm pretty much running what you want and it works.

There's nothing advanced about a rusty's lift. Do some more research about lifts before you purchase anything.

don't really have any good pics handy right now but I don't think they sell them any more . They look just like their 7" but naturallly an inch narrower. shape wise they look just like a wider OE flare nothing fancy .

Actually I just noticed their is one in my profile that gets larger if ya click on it a couple times
