Found a definitive list;
CJ is a CJ of course, Civilian Jeeps.
XJ = "down-sized" Cherokee
ZJ = '93-'98 Grand Cherokee
WJ = '99+ Grand Cherokee
SJ = old full-size Wagoneer/Cherokee
MJ = Comanche Pick-up (XJ-based p'up)
TJ = '97+ Wrangler
YJ = '87-'95 Wrangler
DJ = old Postal/Dispatch Jeeps, based on CJ5's
VJ = original Jeepster
KJ = Liberty or the '02+ Cherokee if you're outside the US
MB/GPW = old/early WWII flat fender Jeeps, i think the Willy's were MB's and the Fords were GPW's?
FC150/170 = forward-control Jeeps, these were funky pick-ups, no clue what the number represented, but I know it's not the wheelbase
C101 = '62-'71 Jeepster/Commando
C104 = '72-'73 Commando

Then there's the "J-Series" trucks which were the full-size Jeep pick-ups, these were the J10 and J20. The number designated it's payload capacity, ie: 10 = 1/2 ton, 20 = full ton. The "M-Series" trucks were the military versions of the J-Series.

I think that's all of them?

Except perhaps for the early days, model codes don't stand for anything, they are not acronyms or abbreviations. They are simply model codes jeep uses for development and production.

Technically a WK2 model does not exist, but we needed something to differentiate between the pre and post 2011 Grand Cherokee models so we made up WK2. It has become the convention.

There are also MK, BU, MP, XK, WL, and KL model codes.
