This took place last Monday. I decided to go down a construction trail. When I made it all the way back to the end and realized the fun was over I started backing. The jeep just started sliding down the incline and the LT rear tire went right into a hole which was previously the resting place of a tree.
I had to leave it on the trail over night. The next day I had a Tacoma try to come pull me out, but the guy didn't know how to drive and the mud was straight eel snot. Ended up calling a tow truck, but they couldn't get the truck back that far. The owner of the company came out in a Tundra on 35's, but after he made it close to where I was he said now way because his truck was sliding everywhere and the tires were not clearing he mud out. They told me to let it sit a few days and come back and if that didn't work they would bring the loader out for the amazing low price of ... $500.00 per hour.
Luckily for me, the construction crew was starting work on that area of the trail on Wednesday morning. They came out and drug the jeep out of the hole. The funny part was they all kept saying they couldn't believe I made it that far, and didn't think I could drive it out without being pulled the whole way (maybe a half mile). As soon as they got me out of the hole I drove right out of the trail with no problem. I have washed this thing 3 times since and I am still finding mud. I was impressed and embarrassed at the same time.
P.s. when the loader bucket is hoisted above the top of your jeep to cross to the other side it is pretty nerve wracking.
