I'm thinking about going with a FM Super 44 for my 2000 WJ. Can anyone tell me what I can expect to be charged at a shop?

Also...how hard is it to instal a throttle body riser..and what kind of performance increase can I expect from a K&N Intake, Throttle Body Riser, and Flowmaster exhaust combo?

Any suggestions are welcome!

Thanks!

Just a muffler will probably run you about $70 for the install. Maybe more, maybe less depending on the shop.

The throttle body spacer is a waste of money, as is the K&N intake. Itll sound cooler, but you will not see any noticeable performance gains, even with the exhaust.

4.0 or 4.7? If 4.0 i can agree there will be no noticable gains with a tb spacer, intake and exhaust. Many have tried, including myself, and were disappointed. Idk about a v8.

Shop charged me $60 to weld a muffler on, but i paid $90 for my flowmaster. If i were to of bought the muffler at the shop, and have them weld it on, would of been $90 total. Something to think about.

I paid $180 for the "Flowmaster Super 44" muffler and installation which included a small length of muffler tubing to compensate for the long length of the stock muffler, at a local exhaust place in Albuquerque NM. Looks good, sounds good. No complaints. Took about 30 minutes while I drank coffee and looked at magazines in the lobby.
