Front tires are wearing oddly. Various lugs are higher towards the front and lower towards the rear. Hard to show with pictures, but I can try.

Just rotated them today. Someone said it may be bad shocks, but the shocks are only about a year old.
How often should I be rotating the tires with this happening?
rotate so they can all get this way ...more slowly? i don't claim to be an expert, but this doesn't make sense to me.
i have the exact issue going on with just one of mine. after a recent rotation, this was happening on the front-driver only and i don't think it was doing this before. i'm holding off putting my new rims/tires on until i figure out what is wrong. i rotated the problem tire to the back (which seems to have reduced front end shimmy slightly). there is either a problem with the front components being shot/loose or the tire is out of balance. i'm ordering the curreclync and track bar this week to upgrade from stock.
Alignment, cheap tires, worn suspension components, tire out of balance, not rotating tires regularly, broken belts in tires. These are all possible causes to tires being "cupped/chopped". Rule them out one by one.
i noticed mine about the same time i replaced my superlift shocks with new rancho shocks. i don't know if this is coincidence, but a poorly performing shock can also cause this, so i'm keeping that in mind.
...and i meant that i think one of my new rancho shocks is suspect.
i'm waiting to see what happens to the rotated-in tire to figure out if it was a balance issue or a front end issue.
I'm having the same wear on my front tires. I rotated them about 6 months ago and now the tires that were moved to the front are wearing the same way. I finally asked a friend who works on cars and he imediately said the shocks are bad and that's what is causing it. to prove the point he pushed down on the front bumper and it bounced a lot longer than it should have. I have an '09 unlimited with stock tires and shocks.
