Hello guys,

I have been thinking of finally stepping up to a 3/4 link suspension set up. I just happened to come across a good deal on some artec industries brackets, 3 link for the front and 4 link for the rear.

I'll be basically getting a complete deal on Johny Joints and brackets from the person that is selling them. Is this deal worth getting or should I just get the regular Genright or poly performance brackets?

The rear artec brackets look about the same as the genright or poly performace brackets, the front artec 3 link bracket looks completly different. Thoughts on this?

For those of you that have built link suspension on your jeeps, what are your thoughts on the artec brackets compared to genright & poly performance?

My other question is that the lower JJ's are 2 1/2" forged with 1 1/4" threat CE-9114, and the upper would be 2 1/2" forged with 1" thread CE-9113N. Would I have any issues if i run smaller links on the top?

The design requires a little more more welding than some other versions, but if you're gonna be in there burning them in anyway, I don't guess it really matters. I would certainly consider using them when I get to that point.

I already know they will require some more welding.. I'm more worried of the design they have, specially the front bracket that holds both links to the frame. In the pictures you can see how the front Artec bracket holds the JJ different from Poly performance and genright.

I'm not sure about the front brackets, but the rear brackets are great. Lots of welding, but they are super durable. They also tuck the links up a little on the TJ frame, which gives a better sliding surface if you have a low rig with a high clearance center skid. They are pretty foolproof to put together. I had them on my TJ, and was extremely pleased. Would definitely use them again.

EDIT:: I misread the question. I would use the same joints all around, but the link material can be thinner. I've heard that Blaine uses the smaller 1" shafts on his uppers.

no need for 2"x.25 wall on the upper of a 3 link. 1.75"x.125 will be just fine.

upper frame side bracket being mounted horizontal was the way I needed to do it because of the duroflex joints. poly performance brackets with custom upper mount.
