Early 93's could have a manual tranny, but don't know what kind of ratio they had.

3.73 were in the tow packages from what my 98 parts jeeps build sheet says. And gears will be the same front and rear.

nope. ive seen 3 or 4 93 ZJs with V8s and 3.55s

 

i have a 98 ZJ so does mine have the tow package? is it 3.55 or 3.73?

 

If it has the factory towing package, it's a 3.73. With stock tires, what are your rpms at 65 mph?

 

Heres an idea, check the axle for a ratio tag, instead of being a##holes and telling the guy if it has this its this and if its a blank it will have this! Geez,

I know that i have 3.55 front and rear. My build sheet says i have d30/186mm front axle. Says i have a 175 mm rear axle. Is that a d35?? Build sheet doesnt say for sure, and neither of my axles has a "tag" on the pumpkins or anywhere else on the axle.

Also alot of other things my buildsheet says i have but i have no way of prooving that it ever did

 

you have a d35 (assuming have a 4.0 with 3.55's) I'd bet money. there's a method of ds rotations to figure out gear ratio, otherwise pull the cover and start counting teeth.

 

I figure it has to be a d35. Just weird the sheet dont actually say d35, just the mm. The sheet does also say 3.55's and i do have the 4.0 thought that was in my profile but i may have made a boo boo

 

The '93 and '94 parts manuals only list 3.55 and 3.73 for ZJ rear axles, no trace of a 3.07 option regardless of having the 5-speed. I'd bet on 3.55s.

we can't make up the gear ratio of my 1995 grans Cherokee Laredo, I have the vin number but it does not give me the information.

I believe that it's a 3.55, however the guy that is trying to sell me a used rear end out of Maryland is saying that it could also be a 3.73 so I'm still trying to figure it out because the numbers on the axle can't make it out.
