If you have a V8, I posted a pdf version of the shop manual for the engine.
There is also an online version for the newer CJ's and alot of the info is the same as far as mechanical stuff. Might find what you need that way.
My 1980 TSM, original and in excellent condition came from Ebay - 25 dollars. Be patient and you'll find one or just do as cjFitz says and buy a reprint.
Go here. http://www.autobooksbishko.com/ I got mine for the 84 to 86 CJ on CD. I called them, told them what I wanted and had it in a few days at a good price. It's the fatory shop manual and very easy to search and print.
Not all people own CJ's for fun, they are inexpensive vehicles that are easy to service. We should try to understand that not all people are in the same financial positions. My dad owned CJ's for years becuase that is what he could afford.
Not long ago, someone posted a library that was offering free online versions of all the Chilton manuals, including the CJ... but lost the link. That was pretty neat.

I ordered one from here for $68.00, and got it in 3 days. Worth every penny. Wish I would have found it 6 months ago...
