Im putting rear disks on my brother 99xj. It has 155k on it and when I went to pull the drivers side axle shaft it wouldnt come out. I wiggled it around and it popped out when I noticed the bearing has worn a small groove around the axle. How big of a deal is this? Should I go ahead and get a new axle shaft? The bearing looks and feels great but should I replace it while I'm in there? Ill post a pic in a bit.
Also, Ive got the disks on but Im undecided as to what to do for the hard brake lines. Ive read several write ups and no one ever talks about what to do with the hard brake lines. The flex line screws onto the hard line to problem but do I just bend the hard line? The instructions say to buy new hard line and bend it but I sure hate to do that. The kit came with a clip to weld to the axle to mount the flex line to but I dont have a welder. Cant use a screw clamp either since the clip is oriented side ways.
