Not only does the Hypertech tune provide more power at wide-open throttle, it also provides significant power increases at lower rpm levels, which translates into improved drivability and a feeling of better response during normal driving. For the JK application, the factory shift points at wide-open-throttle effectively use the engine power band, so these were left stock. The firmness was increased, however. The Max Energy works well with most performance hard parts such as cold-air intake systems and free-flowing exhausts, as well as on unmodified engines.
In addition to more power, the Max Energy lets you easily recalibrate the Jeep speedometer after making tire or gear ratio changes. You can also adjust the electric cooling fan on and off temperature.

thanks; I'll keep these in mind, but the 2011 model year is NOT listed at Superchips site right now, so I'm gonna hold off and just stick with stock and check back later in the year; not sure if factory flash settings differ from previous years or if the 2011 is TOO NEW to be included in the reference chart;
right now I'm just working some of the 'new vehicle bugs' & it's back at the dealership (Zurich paint sealant/fabric protectant package; something etched the clearcoat on the hood; there's some staining on the headliner in the back of the vehicle, there's an intermittent rough shifting point in the transmission shifting pattern, and a scratch in the reflective material on the backside of the driver's side rearview mirror

I am interested in the superchips model,I like the feature to control the transmission shift points, disable the rev limiter and performance tunes for different grades of gas.

My search led me to this thread when searching for a programmer for my 3.7L Commander. According to SuperRliBerty's post, Superchips makes a programmer for the 3.7L. Which is odd because I had called Superchips on Thursday and was told there is no such thing...????.... Can anyone clarrify this?

Ok, I spoke to Hypertech this morning for confirmation. Well, it will NOT work on the '06 3.7L. :nono: The one they are releasing soon will be for the '07-'10 3.7L models, WTF? Why leave the '06s out of the loop. They said that after the '07 release, they will eventually do one for the '06 models. Bunch of crap, I had my hopes up.
On a good note.....Their speedo calibrator does work for the '06-'10 models and will correct tire sizes up to 44"s and gear swaps up tp 3.70. Plus it's cheaper but does not add hp or torque.
