On another website I show the exact opposite. I posted earlier asking why it was the case. Can anyone help me with the mopar part number Crankshaft position sensor for a 2000 jeep grand Cherokee Laredo 4.0 v6 4wd ? The mopar part overstock .com website has weird drivelines listed. Also what is the difference between the "sensor" and "sensor package"

I am an authorized Vendor here on the forum and have selling Mopar parts for the WJ since the WJ came out in 1999. If you have a 4.0, you need a 4897321AA. That other part number is for the V8.

PM me if you'd like pricing. I offer a 25% discount off what you'd pay at the dealership and very reasonable shipping charges.

It seems to good to be true. I found a mopar Crank position sensor for $48.83. Anyone ever use this site? is it legit?

I've used it to purchase a new bumper cover and door cladding, worked out great. Prices are a little high though. I payed like 39.99 for my crank sensor at the local parts store for the I6, but moparpartsoverstock actually ships out genuine mopar parts (as far as I've seen and read anyways)

Also I'm not sure what "weird" drivelines you're seeing. I see three one for the 4.0, one for the 4.7 and one that for some reason only has the 42re as the option. You just need the one that says 4.0 I6 on their site.

Here is the link to the one you need http://www.moparpartsoverstock.com/...CH-I-6--4-SPD-AUTOMATIC-42RE/SENSOR-Crankshaft-Position/6862037/56028666AB.html

The sensor package I believe just has an extra part of the harness which you shouldn't need.

All possible cross referenced part numbers are listed behind stock code on the page that I linked as well.

Highschool WJ the powertech and the driveline that just says 4 speed automatic threw me. I though I should check

for a part number to be sure. I think I have two threads going on this now. Sorry that wasn't my intention.

Anyway factory mopar has the 4.0L at @ 82.36 and the 4.7 @ $46.85

http://www.factorymopar.com/?search...archButton=Search&make=131&model=830&year=2000&p=0&searchkey=yes&i=2&type=parts

However, moparpartsoverstock has the 4.0 at @ $48.83

See my confusion?

You are wasting your time looking for bargains on these bogus websites. Just contact Kolak. He has the best legitimate prices, knows Jeeps inside out, and is a totally straight shooter. He can help you to be sure you get the right part for the right price. Yes, I'm biased, he has been a big help to me on repairing my WJ.

Yeah as far as overstock goes, I would say when it comes to that crank position sensor, they are not legit. Part number is right but price is wrong. If you read their terms and conditions, it says they can change prices or typos at anytime. I explained to them I looked it up by vehicle and the website says it will fit my car and it $46. They said that's not right and the only way they can tell for sure is by the last 8 of vin.

I called jeep dealers they quoted me $117, so 46 is ridiculous.

Kolak is not the cheapest price I found listed but you all are vouching for him and piece of mind is worth a couple of bucks to me. So if I go mopar I'm going through him.

However, standard are less than half the price. I'm still considering going with standard and picking it up from summit racing ( no shipping). Anyone have any experience with the standard crank position sensor?

If you were going that route, I would just go to advance auto and get one of theirs. It has a lifetime warranty and its 49.99 before you apply any discount codes.. I know Ill catch hell for suggesting it over the mopar, but the reality of it is, if the part is bad, you have somewhere local to return and not be down without a vehicle...

After thinking about it I decided to go with the mopar sensor from kolak. It is a little pricey but if I can get it installed, I shouldn’t have to worry about it ever again. I already paid someone to replace it once 2-3 years ago to the tune of $200, because I gave up trying to get to it. I do not know what sensor he used but it obviously wasn’t a mopar. I do not want to have to deal with this every 2-3 years. Thanks again for all the help.
