My 98 XJ won't start on the first try unless the engine is warm and occasionally I will lose power when accelerating the loss of power feels like I'm running out of fuel but I've got plenty in the tank any ideas what this might be?

Ok so I didn't know the heat issue was called heat soak but yes it is very hot I am currently doing the good vent mod and the heat shield I will go to Orielys tonight and test the fuel pressure thanks again and I will keep y'all posted
