Hello everyone! I was looking to do some work on my jeep today because my parents remembered me complaining about how new keyless entry pads for the IR system in my jeep were 60 to 70 at the cheapest (not much to some i know but I am a poor college student ;) ) and they bought me a new keyless entry at the local car store. It is a bulldog Keyless Entry K100 system. What I am hoping to be able to do is intead of wiring this thing into the wiring harness is to just connect it to the wires that the factory IR keyless entry unit uses. I was thinking that this should possibly work to my novice mind since theoretically they should be using the same wires? My problem is that I have been unable to find a reliable pinout for the connector in the overhead console where the IR unit is located to connect in the replacement unit. If this is possible and anyone has advice/aid or anything to offer it will all be welcome and appreciated. Thanks!

does that hold true for the ir keyless entry? i have been trying to match up that with the instructions for the device i bought but nothing seems to be matching up or working. I mean the instructions list the devices constant power as such and such a color but i just trying it found it was another color and got power to the unit but now cant get it to actually lock or unlock doors.

:rtft:What is your e mail address.... I will send you the correct info with notes to help you with the install. I can also include a diagram to help with the door locks. Typically when installing keyless, alarms, and or remote starts on on 96 or newer GC we use a inferface from Viper that provides locks, door trigger, and several other features though the OBD plug. I will also send that info.
