Ignition Coil Connector Replacement

Good day to you all,

I've searched the forum and haven't been able to find a solution to my problem. The electrical connector that comes off my vehicle engine harness and goes to the ignition coil in my '92 has the retaining clip broken off. I would like to replace that end, the female end. Some help please as to where I should turn. Pull it off another's jeep? Is there a replacement pigtail you may know of that I can use? (Believe me, I've searched!) it doesn't look like a regular two pin metripak or weatherpak connector..

Thanks in advance!
Best,
Lenny

you have the round connector terminals as opposed to the 2 flat blade type...

I would visit a NAPA store and look thru Dorman and wells electrical products BUT I suspect the store will have a source for these connectors...

Thanks folks, I really appreciate the replies! I had it ziptied before, maybe I'll do that again. It'd be nice to have a normal functioning locking tab, but ok. My concern with the help section pigtails is that the connector isn't cometwly oval. It has those two cuts (if you look closely).

My po cut my coil connector off and twisted the wires onto a used coil...lol. i had a hard time locating a suitable replacement so i used one of these....it's a power cord to a 9 volt charger for cameras, shavers et al.
The female plug is a very tight fit over the mail end on the coil, i had to whittle the two 90° corners to ease them just a bit. The fitment ends up being extra tight and I've had no problem in 2 years of service. While you have your coil out give it a hearty shake....if it rattles it's time to replace it. I got mine at napa auto parts

Wow, just happened to stumble by and saw the new action on the thread!

Splicing the connector was an option but I think I’d like to split the wires and use a round, canister style ignition coil if that’s possible. Til then, I’ve had the connection ziptied in place but the connection is still not secure.

I’ll definitely update when the RONA clears up.
