It one of the more customizable options outthere...the one on the site are the "Flashier" models ...you can just opt for the bare-bones version

 

I'm pretty sure there's a set out there. I can not type in the nick name of what they're called on this computer. It rymes with "Goobie Lights"...Search for it. I've seen them on here.

And yes basically just want a simple projector with HID hi/low, nothing fancy at all, no stupid devil eyes or cat eyes or lion eyes or whatever people are doing with their headlights these days

That's the most important part. I would have typed it out but I was at work as well when I saw it.

Oman has a set of these "boobie lights". They are XE7s and are made by company called xsighting systems. I can't find their website at this time however.

 

Another option to consider is the Truck-Lite LED lights. Awesome lights except for driving in snow, they don't put out hardly any heat so they don't melt the snow off the lenses. I've got these and absolutely love them.

I had the "boobie" headlights for close to 7 years... unfortunately they're discontinued now. They were made by a company called Xsighting with the parent company Valeo Sylvania - a big OEM supplier. When the economy crisis hit, Xsighting was shut down.

I just recently changed to the JW Speaker headlights - which have a much flatter factory-like appearance. They are LED not HID, and are really bright with a great beam pattern.

Here it is with the "boobie" lights:

And here's the JW Speaker Lights (although mine are Harley Branded, they are made by JW speaker and just take a bit of cutting to make them fit, but at least I could buy them locally )

Buddy of mine did the HIDProjector deal, but the understated version without all the halo crap. He painted his inner shroud to match body color, but everything else in there is black. They look and work fantastic, but he had all kinds of nightmares with them...they got some bad plastic that melted from an American supplier, then went back to their chineze source for the good stuff :shhh:

I was searching everywhere for the 5-3/4" versions of their flatter light (reflector style, not projector) for my '59 Cadillac. Anyone that had stock of that brand has sold out long ago.

That's when I tried the JW Speaker lights in the Caddy, and liked the performance more than the HID's so swapped the Jeep over too. My recommendation - go for the JW Speaker lights. Just got an e-mail today that Quadratec carries them so you could get them from there - http://www.quadratec.com/vendor/J.W.+Speaker/

I'm new to the Jeep Atmosphere so will have lots of questions, not sure what companies are out there, or even good places to buy stuff (websites and whatnot) you know

Ummm I know, guess its not ok with you that I choose a "Jeep Forum" for suggestions. Typical response :/

 

Quadratec also lets you build up a wish-list tied to your log-in - which is a pretty cool way to window shop.

But while Quadratec has all kinds of good bolt on things it doesn't carry all of the good stuff. Definitely helps to spend time reading and researching and looking in to some of the "smaller" brands that make some of the specialty parts, like MetalCloak, Currie, Savvy, OffRoadOnly etc etc that can do more for you if you go direct to them...

Spend time with Google, and with the forum's search functions. :thumbsup:
