Wondering if anyone has had this problem or has a solution for it. I'm on my 9th jeep and many have had hardtops and I've never had this happen before. When I got in this morning after letting it warm up for about 5-10 minutes, the roof on the inside of the hardtop was dripping all over me and the car seats like there must have been a sheet of ice that was melting. All my windows were closed and doors were shut last night. There was some frost on other cars but it didn't snow or wasn't all that cold out(I'm in south jersey).

Anyone had this problem?

What year is your TJ?

You may want to check all the seals around the doors and rear tailgate. They do sell hardtop insulation kits you may want to think about. My dad's YJ has the same problem only under certain weather conditions. Not often.

That has happened to me before. I figured out that it only happens if I have a sheet of ice or even snow on top of the jeep. I guess it keep the outside of the top cold and when the inside gets warm and creates condensation.

So from now on when there's snow on my top (or ice) I sweep it off before I leave and it hasn't happened since.

i had this problem once, it was after a big snow and there was alot of ice & snow on the roof. I had the same issue one morning. Cleaned it all off, and like above, just keep it cleaned off and havent had a problem since either. So i would have to agree that it is something to do with the snow/ice sitting on the roof

That would make some sense except that there was no snow. There was a bit of frost on the windows and maybe the top, but I've driven with inches of snow on my hardtop and had the heat on full blast and this never happened. Just seems really weird. What I assumed happened was somehow a sheet of frost developed on the inside of the top and then it dripped on me while melting, but I don't undestand how it could have frosted inside??

Maybe your top had some snow or ice on it some other day you took a short drive then it made condensation but not enough for it to drip on you and that froze so when you took it out the next time even with no snow on the roof it melted and dripped.
Maybe
