I'm looking for a thermostat housing for a GM151. Searched here, didn't find much (I may suck at searching).

Searched google and found quite a few different items.

Is there a document with a diagram that would list this part number? Should I get a Chilton or Haynes book?

Thanks.

This look like you?

:-( This one only has a 1 year warranty---the one for my 258 has a lifetime

USE the "NOV2" promo and get it for $15.29!

Define "Proper"?

Don't think this will fly if you don't have a serviceable one?

Maybe I was reading this wrong, I thought a stat housing was the issue, not an adapter?

Morning folks! It seems to me that we are making a simple job into a hard one.

This isn't a part for a Ferrari V12. GM made millions of these engines. Take the old one to your favorite parts store and tell them what it fits. If the computer operator tell you there is no such item listed for a Jeep ask to see the senior parts salesman, Where I shop, he is the outside sales guy.

A quick search on O'Reilly's web page comes up with this, Murray Climate Control Water Outlet 84802 | O'Reilly Auto Parts (oreillyauto.com) . If I order it now, I can pick it up later this morning.

We don't have to use the online parts suppliers unless they have a part no one else has. The benefit of buying local is you can compare the old with the new, and you establish some rapport with them, and they will help you find the actual hard to find part. Rarely do they charge shipping and if they get the wrong part the return is on their dime.

Good luck!

So, this is the complete unit? And everyone’s finding the upper half. What’s needed is the lower, correct?( this one has sold )
