The aev's are weaker than tube fenders. That is a plus for some folks. I'd rather just have tubes with no flare because I didn't like the look of stock.

For highline tubes, look at TNT customs, rokmen, and metalcloak. All are full replacement fenders. The genrights are your stock inner fender, with their "skin" over it. All the others I mentioned allow you to re-sell Your stock fenders to re-coup some of the cost...which definately helps on price. TNT and metalcloak have the most clearance out of those I listed. Check them all out before making your decision.

I agree with Bennettj13 I would go look at metalcloak and TNT customs, both are full replacement, the problem with gen-rights is you still use the stock in fender, and it involves a fair amount of cutting. The problem with keeping the stock inner fender is you really don't gain much in the way of clearance, and you can't sell you stock fenders to recoup some of the cost.

IMO both GR and AEV are a lot of $$$ for what you get, especially the AEV. Not just because they are the highest priced, but you still have stock sheet metal, no added strength.
Personally I like Metalcloak, TNT makes a good product as well.

I ordered the TnT Customs Hyline Fenders with Zero flare about a week ago. And they are being put on tomorrow morning. I can let you know how they look and fit if you want.
When you place the brackets for the under hood stuff, mark them with a sharpie and drill them with like an 1/8" bit. I re-used stock bolts on everything and it threaded itself right in. Most of the stock bolts under the hood cut thier own threads. It's super easy.

I'm partial to Rokmen:

that isssss sexy. is that your rig? i really like the looks of that soft top, who makes those tops that hug the roll bar like that? don't mean to hijack, but as the OP's have mentioned, i'd look into just keeping it simple and replace the entire fender/flare and sell it and look at one of those other tube sets. i have tnt's and like them a lot, they're not the highlines but i may go that way sometime down the road...

I'm also interested in this. I'm planning to go with Hyline style fenders but haven't decided which hyline fender to go with. I like the AEV hood for sure. I already sold my stock hood planning on going with the AEV hood. I like the Rokmen fenders, but I do like the "sleeper" look of the AEV. The AEV fenders are significantly thicker sheet metal than OEM. From the AEV website..."The fenders in the Highline Body Kit are made from 14ga. steel (nearly 3 times as thick as the stock fenders)"
Really comes down to the question of aesthetics, but I do think that the hyline tube fenders will offer more tire clearance if that is an issue. I'm sure I'll go back and forth on this quite a few times prior to making a purchase decision. (It will probably be March or April before I have to make the final decision)

Thanks for all the info I didnt know that and other company made these style fenders. I looked at the TnT ones and I think I'm goting for those. Thanks for all the hepl.
Mine will be done tomorrow so once they are finished I will post some pics so you know what you will be getting! Good Choice too!:cheers2:
