Executive summary: I'm looking for the water-in-fuel sensor's bleeder valve o-ring part number (if there is one). 2007 CRD. End Summary

Leak on top of fuel filter. (for last 3 filter changes)

Always change o-rings

New sensor doesn't come with bleeder so I have to use my original one.

Bleeder o-ring (if there is one) may be the cause of leak.

I've only used the bleeder once during the first change in 2007

Can't find a part # for the bleeder o-ring. Won't undo it until I have a new o-ring or know for sure that it doesn't have one.

So, in short, I'm looking for the water-in-fuel sensor's bleeder valve o-ring part number (if there is one).

Bleeder my be the cause of leak.

I assume that there is a small o-ring in the bleeder.

I'm not 100% sure what's going on here, but a new fuel filter comes with a new bleeder and all new o-rings for the bleeder and water-in-fuel sensor

"new fuel filter comes with a new bleeder"???

I've always bought HENGST filters from rmeuropean. They don't supply the bleeder. I see now that others do.

Thanks!

Sorry for wasting time.

Let the dogpiling begin.

I will buy nothing but German fuel filters now. I've had way to many issue with that stupid sensor leaking on various filters. Dealer wanted $15 for the O ring , couldn't find a proper fitting one at an industrial hydraulic house. Just pay $40 to $50 for a German filter that comes with it.
This has gone on through the last 3 filters.
All have been German made.
None come with the bleeder's o-ring that I can find (if there is one).

I've ordered the Mann filter. Made sure that it had the new bleeder.

Edit: Yeah that worked, no more leak!

I'm arguing with a guy from IDParts who says the bleeder is not required for the GC CRD even though their ad shows a pic of it here. Another pic doesn't show it, that's why I asked does it or doesn't it come with the bleeder ~ it doesn't.
