Do you have any links to post? I’m in the same boat, and want a new exhaust system for my CJ-7.

Based on the quality of my Banks header, I’m inclined to look at anything Banks might offer.

 

Walker exhaust makes some decent exhaust systems for the CJ. Been using them for years.
Head pipes, Mufflers and tail pipes all fit OEM hardware and mounts. Trimming the end of the tailpipe is usually needed but was able to use my original mounting hardware and heat shields on their items.


Front pipe: 44872
Muffler: 18389 Universal or 17188 SoundFX
Tailpipe: 44784

 

I went to the local shop and had them fabricate one up for me. I wasn’t a fan of how some of the kits were laid out and paid about the same price as ordering a kit

Another vote here for finding a local shop. They can mandrel bend up any system you want, and they also typically have name brand types of mufflers and components that they get at cost.

 

Have one built. While you are at it, have them install a flange behind the t case. This will allow you to remove the section from the manifold to the t case. A real plus if you have to work on the clutch, transmission, or t case.

 

Completely forgot about this. Had it done on mine as well. Solid advice!
