So I moved my power steering cooler so I can install the winch mount. I read you need a vacuum pump to bleed the system. Do you have to do it that way? I can't go anywhere to get one. The jeep is my only vehicle.
Can you bleed power steering without a vacuum pump?

well if you do they are a few that are not much tend to last the one job anyway at Harbor freight.
On a Jk 2012 i never did when i change the gear box to an after market PSC. As well flushed the pump out at the time. Right now im waiting on a pump my self as the stock is giving up at 38k. Not going stock as well PSC pump to go with that box. But i never had to use suction.
Thats what I ended up doing and it worked. I raised the front end up to make it easier. So far so good no noises and no leakes. Now I just have an a/c condenser to replace. Tip: Never try removing the old power steering cooler clips on the condenser with a knife.
I will be doing a post on installing the winch mount with some pictures and include all the troubles I had.
