62mm is too big for a stock Cherokee. $229 is kind of spendy when you can have the stock Throttle Body bored to 60mm for $75-100 at a shop or do it yourself for about $15. 60mm is perfect with a K&N type filter and a cat-back exhaust. You need these plus a header and some head work to put in a 62mm TB.

A bored Throttle Body on a stock engine has very little benefit.

actually i'm pretty sure the hole in the manifold is 62mm. The bottom of stock TBs are usually bored to 60mm because that is what size the butterfly and top of the TB is.

But I agree you won't get a benefit from a 62mm unless you upgrade the head and exhaust header as well

well actually i have a pace setter header ( i know not the best but i learned) and i have 2.5 inch piping from the header back with flowmaster muffler... so thats not a problem. thats what you meant right? and i was planning on getting an air raid intake and throttle body spacer as well..

A 98+ intake alone would be better than a bored TB just for the sole fact that newer intakes have a better belt tension design that take about 2 mins to remove the belt. That alone with justify the price of the intake if you like tinkering with the jeep. plus i think it gives the 4.0 better throttle response and better power with a header and exhaust system, ran it without a header and it lost low end power
