76 CJ5 Differential Fluid

I'm wanting to change the front and rear differential fluid in my 76 CJ5. What weights should I use? Can I put 85/140 or should I use something lighter?

I would stick to a 75W-90 or 85W-90.

I'm going to put 80W-90 in my tranny and transfer case. Would it work in the differentials too?

GL5 rated oil in differentials and GL4 rated in transmissions/tcases. GL5 has additives for the hypoid gears which will slowly eat synchros. The exceptions are synthetic GL5s.

75-90 is a good weight for a CJ axle.
