I know that the 3.7 has like 210 hp and the 4.0 has 190. What are some other differences like reliablility, gas mileage, which one is better? Also would a 3.7 fit in a Cherokee?

im assuming your referring to the 3.7l v6 out of a KJ... if so, then theres quite a few differences. the 4.0 has most if not all of its power on the bottom end, which means faster acceleration off... the 3.7 has most of its power higher in the rpm band, so if you want to get going off the line you really have to get on the pedal (and it does come to life and roar, i may add). i dont know why you would bother swapping a 3.7 into the cherokee though, its far from worth it.

Yes, I am talking about the 3.7 from the Liberty. The only reason I am wondering is because I have the 4 cyl. engine in my Cherokee and an engine swap may be in the future. Swapping in a 4.0 is a no brainer but I started thinking whether a 3.7 might have any benefits.
