Our Jeep will have the lights come on at night when no one is near it, might go through this cycle a couple of times and repeat randomly.
Never been enough to cause battery dead issue, but need to have this investigated.
We assumed it is a result of proximity wake-up as mentioned, but not sure.....I should turn it off and see if it stops altogether to eliminate that possible issue.
The really odd thing is I get this message emailed to me when it happens, but there are no alerts displayed when we use the vehicle usually the next day.

"As you may have noticed, one or more lights on your dashboard currently indicate that your vehicle requires attention. Please review the alert and contact your Mopar Service Experts if required to schedule an appointment. "

I've had a very similar experience ('24 GC Summit). Been in the shop twice, and they have performed the reboot/reset or whatever. I haven't been told about protective services. I'm picking it up Friday, we'll see how it goes from there.
A friend said "LOG OUT OF JEEP APP ON PHONE"

He has seen his dashboard lite up (" Step on brake with key FOB nearby") several times, in an hour, while parked, locked, and his FOB far away!

He logged out of App, 2 nites ago, and after 14 hrs, it started right up each time!!

He had called Jeep to schedule service and when they said overnite " to test battery" and NO LOANER CAR AVAIL, he said he'd jump it every morning if he had too ( it started every several hours, for rest of day) until they had a loaner. He was tempted to tell them to TOW it but needs a car!!

If I don't post back it's working!!!! Why didn't DEALER KNOW THIS???.

My 2024 GC Summit Reserve with 2800 miles miles... $72K Yikes!!

Final disgnosis......A body module keeps blinking dashboard....says" press brake and button to start" happens maybe every 15-25 min. Maybe more. Car thinks FOB is near It ain't!

Waiting 5 days now for module from Canada. Due Tue morn...
Finges crossed..

New Grand Cherokee Laredo. Battery dead twice now. Only 299 miles on the car. Has anyone on this forum determined the problem and/or solution? Thanks.
In shop for new Body Module. Will know in few days. 2024 Crand Cherry Reserve. 1500 miles. Battery dead overnite, couple messages lite up on dash every 15-25 min while Keyfob far away:

"Step on brake andpush button to Start".

Hmmmm...

I just bought a 2025 Overland on january 10th 2025.. 2 days later wouldnt start
Had to jump it.
dropped at dealer, had TWO new batteries put in
Less that week later, but he dead!
back at dealer since Monday the 20th… only word today was ‘the electronics instrument panel isn’t going totally ‘asleep’ when off and draining batter daily.
Anyone heard of this…??
Should I keep it or give it back and go with GM ;)

These things are all very odd. I have a 24 Summit and I got it in August. So far it has never been to a dealership.

Same same same on all of it 2024 GC Summit Reserve Purchased in July 2024 heading to the dealership for the 5th time!!! Everyone- open a case with Chrysler
I have a 2024 Summit purchased in Sep 24 with the same battery issues. It has been to the dealership 4 times. This last time they have had it for 5 weeks so far. They are now running daily tests and sending the logging back to FCA technicians. The most recent update from service is "...We've finally received approval from the Engineering team to replace the RFHM (Radio Frequency Hub Module) in your Grand Cherokee. After all our testing, it has been determined that the RFHM is incorrectly waking itself and drawing power from your battery for no reason whatsoever.". I am awaiting the part and its installation. I will update this post after getting my Jeep back. This is an issue that Jeep/FCA must be aware of. I don't blame my dealership, but I do believe that FCA are hiding a large and known issue.

Do you really believe FCA would want to pay a bunch of dealer diagnostic time if they had the answer in their back pocket all the while?

I bought a brand new 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited two weekends ago. I'd had it less than 48 hours and went to start it to find the battery totally dead. Jumped it and brought it to the dealership, who said they "reset the computer" but couldn't find anything wrong. Three days later, it happened again. This time, they say that "protective services" has been pinging the vehicle, which is what they suspect is causing the drain. They said Jeep has shut down the entirety of protective services for this reason.

Has anyone else heard of or experienced this? I'm suspect as to why this would affect my Jeep and not others.
We just started having this issue after 9 months and our Jeep Service Techs here are useless. Overall nice looking vehicle but performance and reliability is so lacking we're done with Jeep - going back to the Toyota 4 Runner.

Yeah, based on all the complaints in the 4 Runner forums, going back is like going from the frying pas to the fire. Only the most basic and simple model may come close to the durability and reliability you care to remember.... tons of engine issues.
