Replacement Bulbs - Listing

Howdy folks

Tried search, not working

Does anybody have a list of the bulb types all around the ZJ? Markers, 3rd brake light, brake light, etc. Last time I went into Checker, their system told me the wrong bulb for my third brake light and it's really dim now. The stealership also tried pressing me into letting them do the replacements for a bunch that were burned out (20-some bucks PER BULB).

Checker and autozone don't seem to have a very good or accurate listing of which bulbs go where, so I figured I'd go with the experts.

which is it for the ignition lock light bulb and the ashtray light bulb?
On my jeep both sockets are 37 or 74 type bulbs, not the 1891 bulb listed at autozone or rock auto.

the 37 is 1 watt
the 74 is 1.4 watt

FWIW, they're in your Owner's Manual... for your year.

Dont own an owners manual. I read the bulb using magnifying glass and they are both number 37.
so at the store a number 37 sylvania says on the box 1.3 watt and number 74 is 1.4 watt.

So I put in number 37's.

These illumination things everyone calls bulbs are not that.

Bulbs are what you put in the ground to make flowers.

They are called LAMPS!!!!

A small point but correct nomenclature is important. :rantoff:

A lamp is something you put a bulb in, commonly referring to a lamp in your home.

My thought too. The "lamp" is the entire assembly with the "bulb" being a part of the assembly,
