Also, you can fit most 6.5"s in the soundbar , you just gotta drill new holes. I would also think about stuffing the soundbar with some polyfill.

*Edit* You have an 05', so I don't think you can fit 6.5's without at least some cutting...

I wouldn't trust 5x7 speakers to fit in the front 4x6 speaker area. The only viable choice I'm aware of is between 4x6 or converting it to 5.25" via an adapter plate like from Nalin Manufacturing who is a frequent contributor to the various Jeep forums. Round speakers sound better than oval speakers anyway, oval speakers are compromise designs for odd-shaped areas.
