I read in another thread about someone suggesting to use a "spark plug bomb" to make their sister think their ZJ wasnt in driving condition.

"she will think she blew it up, and so will your parents, then say you'll fix it if they will give it to you and you alone. Replace your spark plug and you sir are a proud ZJ owner"

What is this "spark plug bomb" and how do you do it???

Is it bad for your vehicle?

Bomb under hood...

Googling only brings up bad things that use a spark plug for a detonator...

BUT - when I was a kid there was this "practical joke" thing - it was a smoke bomb device that you rigged in the engine compt. to activate after the key was turned on. As I recall, no one ever got them to work. Chalked it up as a 'buyer beware device'....

We have made some nice spud guns thou, with a spark plug for the igniter on the end of the pipe!Do it up at my property in Oregon!

I think the "spark plug bomb" that they are referring too is replacing one of the plugs with a hollow plug ( one with the center removed. It will run rough and be loud enough to know something is wrong. I would just pull a couple of plug wires loose if I was that much of a ******.

I'm thinking pull off a few wires so it trys to start but wont'. Then take an extra plug and attach it to one of the longer wires. Take a small soda bottle (I say small so you dont blow anything up) and fill with starter fluid. Maybe 1/4 of the way full. (I have not done this, its just off the top of my head) Drill a hole in the cap and screw in the spark plug. Hide the bottle and wires so everything looks right. When the person goes to start the car, they SHOULD hear a very loud Bang followed by the jeep not starting. ONCE AGAIN I have not done this, this is just an idea that popped into my head after I read this thread.

Oh, yeah, I guess that works too.

^ I would think someone with the a screen name with pyro in it would have come up with better than that   :2thumbsup:

I used to like knocking the porcelain off an old spark plug & throwing a speck of it through a car window at the junkyard. Very helpful if you need an interior piece but the car is locked.

First drill a hole in the top of the fuel tank above the fuel level. Next install a spark plug in said hole. How extend the coil wire back to that plug.
Happy?
Alternatively and less destructively. Put a hole in sealed beam headlights. Fill with acetylene, fill hole with silicon without allowing acetylene to escape. Hilarity ensues when lights are turned out.

Happy?

headlight bomb. interesting, lol. that would scare the living **** out of someone, and potentially damage whoever is in front of the car. i think he just wants to scare his sister, which, is a **** move. just be a better child.

Just Burn her house down :dunno:

First time I went off to Boy Scout camp, some of the older guys rigged on to the scoutmaster's car while we were stopped at a hamburger stand. One wire gets stuck into a spark plug boot, and the other wire wraps around a ground. When the motor turns on, the firecracker explodes - loud noise and a lot of smoke, no harm.
