SO loaned my XJ out to a guy to REPAIR it. Came back with a few things broken/missing. The front PCV fitting is broken. That’s easy just a push on rubber hose. The rear one has the fitting on the hose going to it. Manuals I have looked at and the usual part places show is as just a press on tube fitting like the front. I never paid attention to it this is the first time it has been damaged. Any ideas ? Thanks in advance.

Based on your past posts, it's a 1999? The rear PCV elbow looks just like the front one except it has a metered orifice in it. You can find them at Rockauto, local parts stores, even Amazon. The hose connects to your intake manifold. Engine vacuum draws the fumes from the VC to get burned. Fresh air comes from the airbox back through the hose attached to the fitting in the front.

What Saudade said.
Glad he knew which one is front and back.
Cause I just remember that one is wide open and one has that pin hole.
Never remember which is which.
Also on one the elbow sits higher.
Replace the grommet too.
If it doesn't come out easy in one piece cut a wedge with a sharp knife and pry that wedge out.
The rest should come out without a problem.
Cause you do not want to drop any of it into the valve cover.
