Can anyone help. After installing a new battery the radio asked for the CODE. Went to the Jeep dealer who gave me the code from the Jeep database (provided them the serial no of the radio). The problem is the code does not work. They say there is nothing they can do - the number stored in their database must be wrong. Can it be cracked/deleted/reset etc?

Thanks

Its a 2000 Grand Cherokee

Mine was written down by PO inside service history book, look thrue all the papers/manual/service book from PO, you might get lucky.

find a good local independent garage and ask them who they use to unlock/reset radio codes,
have you tried entering '1 2 3 4' ? as that's the code they used when mine was unlocked.

Try mine, 2242
LMFAO!!! Sorry,

Was without my radio for 3 days after putting a new battery in, dealer supplied code did not work, going to work one morning thought try '1234' nothing to loose and joy! Music again!

Eureka - 1234 worked. Switched radio on and put 1234 in and it said WAIT (may have done something wrong). Switched radio off for 5 minutes then switched it back on and put 1234 in and it worked. I take it this must be a master or default code.
Thanks for all your help, I have not had a radio for a year. Hope this will help someone else.

Hello everyone. Today I changed the battery in my car, being a jeep cherokee 2014 and after I installed the new battery the radio cd asked me for a code. I looked in the car's book but I didn't find any code. I disassembled the radio cd and discovered the serial number, which is:T Q1 AA 235 A 1782. In the meantime, I found a site on the internet that generate the radio code. Has anyone used it yet? I want to know if the site is legit because I don't want to be scammed..

This site may be able to help - Techkings - I had a similar problem after disconnecting the battery. I found techkings had similar problems in their forums (fora)with regard to car radios. I put in a request with the serial number of the radio and had an answer within half an hour. Good luck.
