Im buying a 3 link from genright for my cj7. I was wondering if i did a 3 inch progressive springs in the front and welded my link mounts would i have to buy longer arms once i get a higher lift? Also do you need to do highsteeer kit with coils or could i get away with a mitman arm drop for a little?

Eventually i wasnt 6 inch coils and soa on yj stock springs in my rear.

Are your ready... someone that's going to three link a front suspension wouldn't usually ask those questions. That type of a mod is something that only the well experienced should do.

There's a lot involved with changing front leaf springs to coil and link.
1) Arm mounting position and angles (dive or anti-dive for the front and squat or anti-squat for the rear)
2) Where and how you mount the bracketry for the arms
3) Spring rates (unlike leaf springs where each leaf can have it's own rate coils have more limited options)
4) The CJ's narrow front frame causes a strange angle (swing arc) for a track bar--a triangulated 4-link wishbone setup may work better... it doesn't need a track bar.

This is what I am planning and its what I see as the best option for a CJ due to the cramped quarters and with the I6 I need to clear the oil pan

I am looking at progressive springs but I want to just start with some cheap 3" lift TJ springs and see where it gets me.
