Windows aren't working the overhead temp gauge reads -- and engine stalls after 2 seconds. Every light around the gauges come on. Power locks, mirrors, and seats work until I turn the ignition on. When I turn the key on the PCI bus stops communicating. Any ideas on what to check or where to go from here. Originally I thought it was the skim. Everything was fine and I parked. Went to start and it stalled.

Sounds a lot like the BCM (Body Control Module). Try pulling the battery cables, cleaning them, and putting them back as tight as you can get them. Check the battery to body grounds on the passenger inner fender as well. Make sure they're super tight and don't have any corrosion or rust.

Might be a broken ground inside the driver's door boot. It's usually the black, or orange wire that gets broken.

I took the boot off'of the door side and kinda pulled on all the wires. None were broken in half. Where do the wires go? Do they go to the bcm? I wanna try to check the continuity with a mutlimeter.
I just put a new battery in and new battery terminals a few months ago. They are shiny new. I'll check the ground wires where they bolt to the body/frame or wherever they go.

Just a little update. Held the 2 buttons on the EVIC and turned it on. J1850 no bus comm. Pulled codes from the data port P1686 no skim data. I'm gonna check the wires in the door boot again. Any one know where they terminate cause they might be broke internally because the insulation isn't broke.

PCI bus wiring runs to all of the modules listed here, you'll have to chase wiring http://www.wjjeeps.com/modules.htm and once you fix the open/short or disconnect the affected harness(es) you'll be able to get your scan tool to connect to the PCM, provided that's no the affected area.
