Not sure if this has been brought up...

I commonly see the T55 Torx bit being referenced as the proper bit to remove front bumper or front tow hook torx bolts.

It is NOT the proper bit, and can strip the bolt or ruin the bit if the bolts are stubborn enough. I read about people breaking the bit all too often, when it's not always the bit's problem (unless it's super cheap material).

Use the proper bit... The TP55

The Torx Plus, is a TP55.

Here's a picture of the two side by side;

Ok, I'll bite, what's the P stand for.

btw, news to me.

Edit, got to love google, Torx plus
haha... yup, I see you caught your answer.

Just a couple nights ago... I was installing my new Terraflex dual rate sway bar setup, and had to remove my bumper/winch/hook bolts.

I looked at how poorly the T55 fit, and thought... what's the next size up? Seems only a T60. So, I did some research and found a TP55. Ordered one, and a new T55 (since I broke mine using too much leverage) from the same company... and low and behold, the TP55 fits in the torx bolt head like a dream.

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to link Amazon here... but, the bit I purchased was this one; Click here

I'll see if I can get a couple pictures of both bits in the bolt head, to show the fit.

Somewhat hard to see, easier to "feel" the difference;
