Ive got 2 bad O2 sensors on bank 2 in my 2005 GC 5.7 and was wondering if and where the O2 sensor fuse is located? Would like to check it before i get the O2 sensors replaced. It looks like a real nasty job. Thanks ☺
The oxygen sensors on this vehicle do not have a fuse as the heater supply current comes from the PCM (engine computer). The only thing that all 4 sensors share in common on this is going to be the ground wire. They all use the same ground which is G101 on the left side of the engine compartment. It's actually quite easy, you just need an O2 sensor socket.Ive got 2 bad O2 sensors on bank 2 in my 2005 GC 5.7 and was wondering if and where the O2 sensor fuse is located? It's quite a stretch, but you can do it! You can always drive it into the shop if you really can't reach them, but give it a tryAs for the changing the O2 sensors. I crawled under and took a look. They appear to be real SOB’S to do, cant even get my hand in the connectors. Think i will bite the bullet and have them changed for me.
I don't believe there are specific grounds for the O2 sensors, just several grounds throughout the vehicle that cover everything. Should be one from the battery going to either the alternator, the block or the fender, can't recall where on our WKs. Then there's one on the right-side going from the firewall to the block. Then there are a few underneath around the exhaust pipe(s).Bilbo1970,are the O2 sensor grounds on the drivers side fender? I see a big gob of wires bolted on there. Thanks
