I've searched the forums but can't seem to find info, other than most recommend oem Mopar replacement for coils and motor sensors etc. I know Delphi makes several electrical components for Jeep. Really wondering if anyone knows who makes the coils? Are these Mopar made parts or?

Are you planning to replace coils and, if so, on what engine and why?

06 WK 4.7L having rough idle. PO installed one odd ball coil and the others appear factory but have Delphi part#. New plugs installed but old ones looked like good fuel burn slight brownish color electrodes were worn though.

Sounds like you've done the spark plugs already.

Recommend that you check the ignition coil primary and secondary resistances (and the plug wires) before you trash them. Here are some guidelines:

Coil Primary resistance: 0.6-0.9 ohms
Coil Secondary resistance: 6,000-9,000 ohms
Plug wires: 250-1,000 ohms per inch ; 3,000-12,000 ohms per foot

From my experience, ignition coils either work or they don't. Not much middle ground. Run your engine at night in the dark and see if there is any plug wire insulation breakdown (visible sparking). Sometimes, you may see a temperature-related breakdown under high underhood heat conditions.
