Only the RER comes with factory UConnect on the 2010, and the mic is in the driver's side A-pillar, on the flat part facing down.

It's a little more complicated than that. You need to buy the kit install it/have it installed then have the dealership update your computer so you can use it. The install doesn't look too dificult (plug and play), but the cost is anotherthing. 300 for the kit and probably 60 or so dollars from the dealership for the reflash.

You'll still need the uConnect module installed, I'm doing mine tonight and getting it activated at the dealer on Thursday. They quoted me $40 (half hour of labor I assume). They may just throw it in since they're doing my heated seat retrofit at the same time. FYI I have the RES (with sat) which is pretty much identical to the REQ but only single disc instead of multi.

OOO okay so the module isnt in the radi its seperate all by itself. The microphone im finding just plugs into the back of the actual radio.

Thanks for the help, guy has one for 100 (dvd player version), i am toying with going with a mygig, and this seemed like a good deal, but at minimum i want blue tooth.

Just for point of reference; I've got uConnect in my 2010 and it works great - as long as you're at a complete stop on some back country road.

The Jeep is almost too loud inside at speed to hold a conversation with the person in the passenger seat, let alone someone on the phone... Well, with the soft top at any rate, the hard top might be a different story.

Are you speaking from a soft top, hard top, or no top point of view???
