Metrix Premium Control Arms

I searched for RK640797 (which is the product id that MOOG uses) on amazon, and a compatible front upper control arm matching the product id came up. I assumed it was MOOG and ordered a pair, but when they arrived, I found out that they are in fact "Metrix Premium". This does not appear to be a reputable brand, so I've no idea if I can trust this to fit and perform properly.

Has anyone here used parts from "Metrix Premium"?

I'd say even if it was Moog, RK parts are made in China garbage. C and CK (problem solver) are the good ones.

My experience with amazon parts has been pretty bad. I don't know that they do a good job screening all their vendors and counterfeiting tends to generally be a problem with car parts. Had much better luck with rockauto.

Well, these control arms are made in Turkey. I also noticed that MOOG's spring isolators were made in Turkey, and they're "Problem Solver" brand. Anyhow, I think I'm just going to return them and buy ACDelco from rockauto instead. I only bought from Amazon this time because they offered a lot lower shipping costs for MOOG control arms (which turned out not to be MOOG). However, I found out later that the shipping is much cheaper on the ACDelco arms from rockauto.

What brand would you recommend for control arms anyhow?

I actually replaced all control arms with ACDelco last year, except for rear upper on which I pressed in Mopar bushings and used Mopar also for the ball joint it's sitting on. Reason is they are genuine OEM for GM and Mopar was just outrageously expensive to it all. It was a bit of a guess work but ACdelco seemed quite well made and a year later I can say I would do the same again. That made a night and day difference on the ride quality for sure.
