Ok I have followed these threads all the way through and now I am out of ideas. I have replaced the fuel filter, spark plugs, Idle air control motor, throttle body sensor and my cherokee is still stalling as I start to come to a stop, the vehicle starts to feel like its surging and sometimes cuts off. I am getting no codes. Could someone please give me some sort of idea what else I can look into?? It does not stall while I am driving it at normal speeds.

Do a search for cleaning idle control solenoid. I think it's even in the faqs. There is a great write up with pics. Mine would stall when going from reverse to drive. A little carb cleaner, toothbrush, and a few hand tools is all that is needed. Takes about 10 minutes.

have you checked for vacuum leaks? the cruise unit lines are very fragile (near antifreeze jug on pass side)....i've replaced mine x2. easy way to check is to spray carb cleaner lightly around your hoses while engine is idling. if you have a leak, the engine will rev slightly.

I have the exact same problem, I am starting to brake and when I am coming to a complete stop, the RPM dips WAY down and it almost stalls. I am thinking a bad brake booster, but I do not know. Also I was pulling into a parking spot, going very slow 3-5mph, I made a sharp turn so the steering wheel was Almost to the max position and I lightly touched the brake and it almost stalled out. Sometimes when I shift from Park to Reverse or P to Drive the RPM also dips down. When In park if I pump the brake pedal I can hear a slight hiss...then the RPM dips down. I am stuck. overall it runs fine. This does not happen when I first start it up, It happens when it is at normal operating temp, around 210. This all started when the wonderful winter weather of CNY started. sporadically the RPMs would dip and a couple times It stalled when shifting from Reverse to Drive during the summer. I am at a loss. Thanks
