I need a TJ scanner software recommendation

I decided to upgrade from my almost 20 year old no longer supported OBD1/OBD2 code reader. I just bought a new dongle . It shipped directly from Veepeak, so I'm fairly sure it's a genuine product and not a clone. I see that JScan doesn't show support for the TJ era. I see comments that Torque isn't being currently developed further. What is the current best scan software for a TJ? I certainly don't mind paying for it. I have an 8" LTE Samsung tablet with bluetooth 5.0 that should be perfect for it. I can use my Windows 10/Linux laptop if I really have to.

Details;
2002 Jeep TJ Sport
4.0L with C.A.R.B. (50 state) emissions, even though it was sold new here in Alaska.
5 Speed
Factory Dana 44 rear axle (canyon package), so no anti-lock brakes.
No AC
No anti-theft package

Dongle;
VeePeak OBDCheck BLE+ (Bluetooth 4.0 & LE) (ELM327 v2.2)

Any suggestions are welcome.

If you're only looking to read basic data, A ELM327 scanner like the one you purchased should work. If you're not getting any connection, it's probably between the dongle and the tablet.

If you're looking read / write data, HPTuners has recently updated their MPVI2 scanner to read the full 97-06 Jeep ECM range were before it only supported 05-06 years. With this, sky's the limit, but you can mess stuff up in a hurry if you're unfamiliar with tuning software.

Also, if you need basic Pcode readout ASAP, your odometer can do that. Just push and hold down the trip reset button, then turn the ignition to the on position. It will display any basic MIL errors.

This is incorrect. Holding the odometer button when turning on the ignition will make the cluster do the actuator test.

To get OBDII trouble codes from the odometer, within five seconds, and without starting, turn the ignition on-off-on-off-on, leaving it on the third time. Any trouble codes will be displayed, followed by donE.

Thanks for the tips. I'll check out the MPVI2. I had just installed "Car Scanner ELM OBD2" app, but unfortunately I won't have time to give either a try till later in the day. The main thing I'd like is to look a the graphing functions for troubleshooting, not so much to actually modify anything at this time.
