well right now i am in the research stage right and just trying to figure out which way to go
Motorcraft 2100, Webber, or junkyard TBI? or if i want to try and to a 4.0 head swap and go MPFI.
right now i just need it to RUN and decently, it only gets driven about 1/2 to 1miles per day just driving from the house to the street where i park my commuter car, since it is not street legal yet i have a little time. I ordered a rebuild kit for the carter and will work on that when my dad (old race car nut) gets home from KS so he can help be make sure i get it adjusted properly.
Right now i am leaning toward the Motorcraft but still up in the air right now. I know that Weber makes a good product but like a holley they can be a pain to adjust. The Junkyard TBI sounds fun, but there is something to be said about sticking with a carb and cutting out as much electronics as possible. Now then there is the idea of the 4.0 head swap. This "sounds" great and all but i understand it can me a major PITA.
So, i dont know i guess i will just have to wait and see what i can find deals on.
Who knows maybe i will find my dream driveline and drop in a FI 5.0 with an auto tranny that i can mount my Dana 300 to? Hmmmm then go with 9" in the rear and a built D44 in the front ::drool:: but that is not likely to be in my budget anytime soon unless i just happen to win the lottery (but first i would have to play to win)
