If you're patient, I can email you the write up that came with mine from the eBay seller. Have it at home, can't send now.

Take it for what it's worth, I didn't use it a bit. There is some information in this thread, though: http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f8/canister-gurus-i-need-your-help-1064615/

...that may help you sort out how to connect to the canister. If you've got an electric choke, the write-up may help, but I can't.

MC2100 technical writeup with conversion procedure (PDF file):

General discussion:

In particular, this specific post has a good summary of the general hurdles and issues to overcome:

Another doc on the conversion procedure (another .pdf file). Not sure if this is the same as what's included in the first link:

well right now i am in the research stage right and just trying to figure out which way to go

Motorcraft 2100, Webber, or junkyard TBI? or if i want to try and to a 4.0 head swap and go MPFI.

right now i just need it to RUN and decently, it only gets driven about 1/2 to 1miles per day just driving from the house to the street where i park my commuter car, since it is not street legal yet i have a little time. I ordered a rebuild kit for the carter and will work on that when my dad (old race car nut) gets home from KS so he can help be make sure i get it adjusted properly.

Right now i am leaning toward the Motorcraft but still up in the air right now. I know that Weber makes a good product but like a holley they can be a pain to adjust. The Junkyard TBI sounds fun, but there is something to be said about sticking with a carb and cutting out as much electronics as possible. Now then there is the idea of the 4.0 head swap. This "sounds" great and all but i understand it can me a major PITA.

So, i dont know i guess i will just have to wait and see what i can find deals on.

Who knows maybe i will find my dream driveline and drop in a FI 5.0 with an auto tranny that i can mount my Dana 300 to? Hmmmm then go with 9" in the rear and a built D44 in the front ::drool:: but that is not likely to be in my budget anytime soon unless i just happen to win the lottery (but first i would have to play to win)

I think you'll find the MC2100 the best choice for a "budget" carb. They are very forgiving with adjustments, gives the I-6 plenty of power, and it lets the jeep idle much better than the carter 2bbl. You can find the MC2100 in most junkyards for 20 bucks and the rebuild is extremely simple to do. Just my 2 cents though, goodluck with whatever you decide to do!
